I.R.I.S. introduces the IRISCard 4

I.R.I.S. Group, a market leader in Automatic Document Recognition (ADR), Electronic Document Management (EDM), Archiving, Storage and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), has announced the release of the IRISCard 4, claimed to be the smallest and fastest A6 colour business card reader on the market .

Compact, light and USB powered, the IRISCard makes managing business cards effortless. The usual tedious and time-consuming retyping work is replaced by fast and efficient scanning with incredible accuracy. Smart tools allow efficient contact management - search, sort and export your contacts with just a few clicks! In standard configuration (colour, 400 dpi), it takes only 6 seconds to scan a card. A fast scanning mode (300 dpi greyscale) allows to scan at the fast speed of 3 sec per card.

In this new version, both the scanner and the software have been renewed. The scanner is USB 2, 600 dpi colour and equipped with 2 buttons for an intuitive use. The software has been enhanced and there is a host of new features. The interface has been revisited with the Windows Vista Look & Feel and is even more user-friendly. It is now also possible to scan consecutively the front AND the back of your business card, which often contains useful information, and add a picture of your contact. Furthermore, if you have several business cards for one and the same contact, the duplicates manager will help you to find and compare them. You can then determine which info or contact you want to keep, update or discard.

Compatible with both PC and Mac platforms, the IRISCard 4 is simple to use. The portability, design and ability to recognize business cards from 217 countries make the product an ideal tool for anybody sharing business cards. Moreover, with the new (3 licenses-1 scanner) IRISCard Corporate, the new Mini 4 and the compatibility with MS Dynamics CRM, users can choose the solution that best suits their needs.
