The sawmill firm Fiskarhedens Trvaru AB has signed a new agreement with ERP software provider IBS.

The new contract includes an upgrade of an existing ERP solution of IBS Wood. The software is especially developed for the timber industry, and Fiskarheden will primarily use modules for warehouse management, financials, order management and invoicing.

Fiskarheden is one of the fifteen largest sawmill companies in Sweden. Over 90 percent of the production of wood-based products is exported to 28 countries around the world, and Fiskarheden is Swedens greatest exporter of lumber products to Algeria. Other large customers are in the U.K., Denmark and Japan. Fiskarheden makes all of its products from long-boled pine, and the lumber dimensions and deliveries are proportionately large. A smooth-running, integrated ERP system is required to handle the combination of sales, loading, exporting and invoicing.

We chose to continue with IBS because it has worked extremely well. We have not had an operational shutdown in seven years, says Magnus Proos, CFO at Fiskarheden. Our ambition is to always stay in front, and the sawmill industry has been high-tech for many years. Continuing to develop our ERP software was therefore a natural step.

Fiskarheden has 95 employees and a sawmill capacity of 222 000 cubic meters. Fiskarheden has used the IBS ERP solution since 1999.
