Hand Held Products, a leader in image-based data collection, has appointed three new sales managers for the EMEA Imaging Systems division, which includes handheld scanners, image engines and verification systems.

The new appointments - as well as various promotions in the organisation - will support the continuing growth of the company in the EMEA market, and underline the investments Hand Held Products is making in Imaging Systems.

Juan Pablo Biermayr joins the company as the new Southern Europe sales manager for Imaging Systems. Juan Pablo has extensive knowledge of scanners and image scanning, and has spent the last seven years in the auto ID market.

Steve Melia starts as the new Northern European sales manager for Imaging Systems. Steve has spent more than 15 years in the scanning industry and has worked for PSC Barcode and, most recently, Symbol - as its global strategic alliances manager.

The new Central European sales manager for Imaging Systems is Andreas Tschurilow. Andreas has worked within the scanning industry for over ten years and brings extensive knowledge of the Eastern European market.

Furthermore, Hand Held Products has made organisational adjustments and promotions within the EMEA organisation to support the growth in this market and leverage the talent in the team.

Roel Vreeburg focuses on growing the business in Asia as Senior VP and General Manager of Hand Held Products International. Roel comments: "In the past four years, we have enjoyed significant growth in EMEA and have become a major contributor to the company's global success."

The EMEA team is now lead by Bart Nollet, VP for sales, marketing and services in EMEA and Peter Kersten, finance and operations director.

Both Andrew Donn and Gerhard M|ller have been promoted to regional sales directors. Andrew will be responsible for the Northern European region while Gerhard's responsibility lies in Central Europe. Another change in the organisation is the integration of the marketing and business development teams. The new team will be headed by marketing and business director Philippe Buidin.

Bertrand Lombardo has been promoted into the role of Pre Sales Manager - leading the solution architects and project management teams. Debbie van Daal is in charge of Sales Operations.

"We are very pleased to welcome our new colleagues as they will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our company", said Bart Nollet. "The new appointments combined with the well-deserved promotions will help us support our business needs and strategy. As our EMEA organisation is constantly growing, this is definitely a big step forward."
