380 Voice Units to Power Operational Improvements
Voxware, Inc, a leading supplier of software for voice-driven logistics solutions, has announced that Somerfield Stores have placed an order for a voice solution that will streamline the company's flow-through operations.
The order is part of an initiative that will further optimize Somerfield's logistics operations. Voxware's open, SOA-based software product, Voxware 3.0, will provide the required voice solution, which will operate on 380 wireless devices supplied by LXE.
"We are already experienced users of Voxware voice technology, which supports our picking operation," said Andy Monk, Somerfield Distribution Director. "This new project represents an opportunity to realise further cost benefits, and the Voxware product is the right vehicle for us to achieve our goals."
The flow-through solution will be deployed in four Somerfield distribution facilities, which are operated by Wincanton Logistics.
