Icopal, a leading European supplier of construction products, is expanding its partnership with ERP software provider IBS.
A new agreement will enable Icopal to upgrade to an integrated, standardised ERP system to handle all warehouse, distribution, financial and resource planning operations for Icopal through the Baltics. The project is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2007.
The agreement includes current Icopal locations in Latvia and Lithuania, with a new business unit to be added in Estonia during 2008. Upgrading to the IBS ERP system will make it possible for all Icopal sites in the Baltic to deliver goods directly from warehouses to customers, with increased operational efficiencies and automation.
Since our supply chain is quite extended, it is critical for our ERP software to support operations for our material supply chain, says Timo Kostiainen, Director of Finance and Administration at the Icopal subsidiary in Finland. The solution enables us to streamline the process of selling and reporting, which gives us increased dependability.
Icopal, based in Denmark, is a market-leading supplier within the building and construction industry, with more than 3 600 employees in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Japan. The group handles goods and services that protect buildings and sites against the elements and fire.
IBS Nordics is one of five IBS global entities and includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, along with business partners in Russia and the Baltic states. The Nordic organization has over 600 employees who offer expertise in infrastructure, sales and consulting to IBS local and global customers.
