Mondi Packaging decided to standardize the IT landscape in its Corrugated division.
Late 2006 Mondi Packaging decided to implement the OMP System for MES, Scheduling, Corrugator Optimization, Planning and Order Promising. Main reasons for this choice were the possibility for multi-site planning, real-time KPI comparison of the different factories, Capacity Planning and on-line Order Promising.
As a first phase of the project, four sites went live with the OMP Corrugated and Solid Board System (OMP) between March and May 2007. The further roll-out to all other plants is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008.
Mondi Packaging states: Since our group grew through acquisitions, there were different IT systems in the different factories. After an in-depth selection process evaluating relevant solutions on the market, Mondi Packaging has selected OMP as the preferred planning and production control system.
