Freeway Commerce demonstrates latest e-commerce solution, Spectrum Enterprise at Retail Solutions 2007

Freeway Commerce, the specialist in EDI and e-commerce integration, unveilled the latest version of its e-commerce solution, Spectrum Enterprise, at this years Retail Solutions Exhibition, NEC, Birmingham.

Spectrum Enterprise offers the benefits of EDI and web trading in a single solution. It enables retailers to trade electronically with their entire supplier chain - with batch data transfer for larger trading partners and web based ordering and invoicing with smaller ones.

Spectrum Enterprise enables retailers to trade with other organisations regardless of the technical capability at the other end. Communications options include EDI via a VAN or over the Internet using FTP or AS2, email or via a hosted service presenting a Web form to the supplier. It can also easily integrate with data or applications running on other platforms or operating systems.

Using a single solution reduces the costs of ownership and maintenance for retailers and their suppliers smaller operations in particular are able to exchange documents over the Internet at no cost. Freeway Commerce also offers a totally outsourced solution, including a fully-managed and hosted service with built-in resilience and no need to employ EDI specialists in-house.

Flexible licensing plans are available - Spectrum Enterprise can be licensed by the customer and issued free to suppliers, or license costs can be charged directly to suppliers, with no cost to the retailer.
