  • 09.00-09.40 Maureen Hughes, EMEA & NL Lead for Supply Chain ManagementDeloitte ConsultancyDrawing on 24 years worth of experience in global and European supply chain transformation projects for some of the worlds largest companies, Maureen will present an overview on adapting supply chains in a global environment. Maureen will offer her opinions on how you can bring efficiencies to a global supply chain whilst maintaining regional requirements. Maureen will also address how you can work across geographical boundaries improvingsupply chain visibility and collaboration with suppliers, customersand partners.
  • 09.40-10.25 Sandy Gullis MBE, Supply Chain Manager, Defence Services Kellogg Brown and Root As Supply Chain Manager at Kellogg Brown and Root, a leading global engineering, construction and services company, Sandy will draw on his extensive experience of managing supply chains in the theatre of war. He will be discussing the challenges that exist within a global supply chain that also has to be able to adapt to local idiosyncrasies in areas that have little or no infrastructure.

Alan will discuss how better collaboration canbe key when operating in multiple countries and across many different cultures.
  • 11.35-12.15  David Marsh, IS DirectorDiageoDavid Marsh, responsible for the optimisation of end-to-end supply chain business processes within the supply organisation in Diageo, will discuss the challenges of a complex supply chain and how by accommodating these complexities you can evolve your business model and achieve growth objectives.
  • 12.15-12.40 Audience Poll Results Presented by Colum Joyce, CEOKBOR Research Colum will present the real time research gathered from the audience poll, giving an overview of the major challenges and issues the audience are currently experiencing whilst comparing and contrasting these to global industry trends and attitudes in the areas covered.

Guest Speakers

Charlotte Graham-Cumming, Sterling Commerce.  Charlotte Graham-Cumming is marketing manager, EMEA applications at Sterling Commerce, an AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) subsidiary and one of the world's largest providers of business process solutions. Prior to joining the Sterling Commerce marketing team, Charlotte worked for Yantra (now a Sterling Commerce company) both in Europe and the US and was heavily involved in both product and business marketing. Charlotte has extensive knowledge and experience in the retail industry having previously worked for the Burton Group and Marks and Spencer as well as an array of US-based retailers.
 
Maureen Hughes, Deloitte Consultancy.  Maureen leads the European practice for Supply Chain Management in Deloitte. She has 24 years experience of global and European supply chain transformation projects for some of the worlds largest companies in both Consumer Business and Manufacturing. Maureens specialties include Supply Chainstrategy, Advanced Planning, efficiency improvements and cost reduction for large multi-nationals including combining Supply Chain and tax optimisation.
 
Sandy Gullis MBE, Defence Services Kellogg Brown and Root.   Sandy Gullis is Supply Chain Manager for Defence Services at Kellogg Brown and Root, where he set up the Logistics Organisation which includes 20,000 square metres of warehousing in Bicester and two Logistics Departments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sandy has 30 years experience in Logistics, Transport and Warehousing around the world, operating in over 30 countries. Prior to Kellogg Brown and Root, Sandy spent 25 years as a Logistician in the Army, dealing with small exercises involving 100 men and equipment right up to full scale deployments including the first Gulf War and NATO to Bosnia.
 
David Marsh, Diageo.  David is an IS Director with Diageo, responsible for the optimisation of end-to-end supply chain business processes within the supply organisation in Diageo. This includes the planning, procurement, manufacturing and logistics execution processes on a global scale. Current business initiatives include active supplier collaboration, customer collaboration, sales & operations planning, outbound logistics event management, and manufacturing plants operations and utilisation. Prior to joining Diageo, David worked in the nuclear industry, where he managed several production facilities as a Production manager; commissioned new plants as a works manager for an operations area and led a major manufacturing improvement programme supporting initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance and Lean Manufacturing.

Alan Joseph, Schenker.  Alan Joseph is currently responsible for the development of the Hi-Tech sector for Schenker Logistics/SCM globally. Alans career within third party logistics and supply chain management spans 14 years. Having worked in the USA, Asia and Europe, his focus has been on the design, implementation and operation of supply chain solutions for predominantly Hi-Tech and Aerospace customers. Alan has aBSc in Logistics form Aston University and an MBA from London Business School.
 
Colum Joyce, KBOR Research.  Colum will present the real time research from the audience poll, giving an overview of the major challenges and issues the audience are currently experiencing including industry insights into the state of the market at this time. Colum is at the forefront of supply chain thought leadership, holding the role of CEO at KBOR Research. KBOR Research are a small specialised strategic research and support company, who focus on Supply chain, transport, environment and multi channel Retail. Based in Brussels it has a wide and varied global customer base which includes major International brands, national Governments and the EU.
