Aldata, one of the global leaders in supply chain software for retail, wholesale and logistics companies, has won 'Best ROI Supply Chain Management Software Award 2007,' awarded by the Institute of Transport Management. The award was made in recognition of Aldata's work to increase supply chain efficiency for the retail sector.

Making the award to Aldata Solution, Mr. Patrick Sheedy, Media & PR. Director for the Institute, said:  "In an age of intense competition, supply chain efficiency and adaptability are not just requirements for success - they are necessities for survival. Whether it is 'smart shelving' for retailing, enhanced warehouse efficiency, increased visibility into equipment maintenance processes, product tracking and authentication, or RFID - SCM solutions have an impact across virtually all processes and industries in helping to realise significant ROI results. Aldata Solution is one of the leading providers of software solutions for the global retail industry and provides an integrated set of supply chain applications that enables retailers and wholesalers to manage their business processes in a consistent and standard manner - whilst minimising on IT spend."

Over the last eighteen years Aldata has been developing a robust platform and integrated software to enable retailers to gather, manage and analyze their complex data to reduce costs and optimize returns. The Company's performance in this area has been supported by recent independent research in which seventy five percent of Aldata's customers report significant ROI gains, with reductions in both inventory and production cycle times - resulting in lower operating costs and improved customer service thus outperforming some of the 'best in class' companies.

Mr. Sheedy went on to say: "Aldata came to the attention of the Award's Committee for its G.O.L.D. SCM application as a result of our annual research into this area. With growing adoption of new technologies such as RFID, organisations in the retail sector require flexible platforms to handle increasing amounts of data processing. By providing such easy to implement, flexible and functionally rich software solutions - on leading edge platforms and architecture, Aldata ensures the efficient control and optimisation of the supply chain - with greater flexibility of choice. Mr. Sheedy concludes by saying "We are delighted to welcome Aldata to our Award's table to take its well deserved place amongst those that we consider to be the 'Best in Class'".
