Zetes 3i Voice Solution is enhanced with a SAP Adaptor in its Java-based 3iV Connector
Zetes has announced that the Zetes 3i Competence Centre has enhanced its market-leading 3i Voice Solution in view of a rising interest for logistics' voice applications within the SAP community. The Zetes 3i Voice Solution has addressed this growing demand by adding a direct integration possibility between its mobile voice applications running on the proven Talkman platform and SAP's LES/WM modules.
Direct integration, no middleware, no extra servers
Through this Zetes development, the SAP system can directly send, amongst others, picking-assignments to its users that are equipped with voice recognition terminals that run the Zetes 3iV mobile applications and this without the need for extra middleware or adding extra server-stations in its architecture. These 'voice-users' can be tracked through all the standard reporting and screens via the RF monitor available in SAP.
The 3iV SAP Adaptor, a latest addition to the 3iV Connector - a communication service-tool developed in Java to allow it being installed on any host system to facilitate direct integration between the ERP/WMS and the mobile 3i Voice applications - comes with a customisable set of ABAP Add-On code. Both are installed on the SAP application server. It makes use of the standard SAP process logic and respects the business rules set up in the SAP environment.

Aside from Order-picking, other applications are available in the Zetes 3iV Application Suite. Cross-Docking, Pick-by-line, Put Away, Replenishment, Cycle Counting, etc. are only few of the possibilities.
