G.O.L.D. Vocal, for voice-directed logistics operations, now available on multi-purpose PDAs

Aldata, one of the leaders in voice-directed logistics solutions, has announced the availability of G.O.L.D. Vocal in a PDA environment. Complementing Aldatas existing G.O.L.D. Vocal environment for dedicated voice terminals, the PDA extension permits a wider choice of operator terminals and enhances the potential for new business processes based on multi-modal applications integrating voice and other data management methods (keyboard, barcode reader (1D and 2D (Datamatrix)), electronic tag reader (RFID), voice, photography). Aldata is now able to offer to its customers both dedicated and multi-purpose voice solutions.

In line with the existing Aldata G.O.L.D. Mobile PDA solution for in-store operations, Aldata G.O.L.D. Vocal on PDA extends Aldatas capability in mobility solutions as well as supporting market trends in the adoption of the PDA as the universal terminal.

Aldata is also developing a program of technical certification for G.O.L.D. Vocal on PDA with leading industry PDA manufacturers.

G.O.L.D. Vocal, used by more than 5000 operators, is currently used by Aldata customers such as Casino, Coop Normandie, Delhaize Le Lion, Detailresult Services B.V., Leclerc, Match, Migros, Smart & Final and  Systme U.
