Kewill acquires IPACS e-Solutions

Kewill Systems plc, a leading provider of global supply chain execution software and services, has acquired IPACS e-Solutions Pte Ltd, an electronic freight forwarding and customs brokerage solution, to offer companies improved control of and visibility into their global supply chains.

IPACS java-based Advanced Logistics System is emerging as the standard for freight forwarders and customs brokerages in Asia and will now be used in the EMEA and North American marketplaces. In addition, TradeNet, IPACS customs product, is the leading solution in Singapore and Malaysia with some 1300 users. IPACS solutions bring together both supply chain data and documentation, which leads to faster, more efficient and cost-effective logistics and improved deployment of labour.

IPACS e-Solutions, which has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, plays a leading role in the international trade marketplaces across Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan and China.

IPACSs Freight Forwarding solution, Advanced Logistics System (ALS) is designed on an open platform with leading edge Java and J2EE technology which deploys international data in a multi-lingual format. Following S$2.7 million (0.9 million) of investment in the product recently, the scalability of ALS allows adaptation to varying operational requirements including the needs of the North American and European marketplace. In addition TradeNet, IPACS customs product, is the leading solution in Singapore and Malaysia with some 1300 users.

All IPACS e-Solutions divisions will become part of the Kewill Global Trade and Logistics business.
