Pantek and Wonderware with over 15 years of successful joint trading have signed a new distribution agreement.

This agreement creates the brands Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland by which Pantek will undertake the Wonderware part of its business. Pantek will at the same time, undergo a restructuring that reflects the anticipated future market conditions and requirements of delivering the latest Wonderware software technology to its industrial customers.

In addition, Pantek will be relocating to new offices at Cheadle Royal, Cheadle, Cheshire early in February 2007. The relocation to this brand new, custom designed building is concurrent with a restructuring of the Company and will provide an ideal launch pad for the new business.

From February 12th 2007 the Pantek Group will rename its Pantek Limited UK and Ireland operation as SolutionsPT Limited. SolutionsPT Ltd. will undertake all the activities that are currently undertaken by Pantek Ltd. With the signing of the new Wonderware Star Plus Gold Distribution Agreement contract, SolutionsPT has been authorised to conduct business under the brands of Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland, emphasising the closeness of the relationship between the two companies.  Both of these identities will be wholly owned within SolutionsPT, an operating company of the Pantek Group.

Managing Director of SolutionsPT, John Bailey, said: The restructuring of the Company and the re-branding of Pantek Ltd allows the company to provide close-coupled business delivery with its key suppliers, especially Wonderware. This will be especially felt with the increasing globalisation of business that is executed on a cross-national boundary basis. The uptake of ArchestrA technology and its measurable deployment cost savings is partially the rationale of this restructure. SolutionsPT in combination with activities under the Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland brands will be able to more completely respond to the expectations of globalised companies. Equally, this delivers many advantages to our system integration partners in engaging with business that previously may have encountered artificial and in the end, limiting barriers.

Mike Bradley, President of the Wonderware Business Unit of Invensys plc said: This agreement is the next major stage in the development of our long standing relationship with Pantek. In order to best deliver successful results for customers who are utilizing ArchestrA technology, it requires new technical and IT skills and new organization and consulting capabilities. We believe that SolutionsPT has the optimal skills and structure to deliver our latest System Platform, Clients, Modules and QuickStarts to our customers. This is recognised by Wonderware granting the use of our branding for the new Companys activities under Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland. This significantly closer operational connection will benefit all customers and stakeholders. We welcome the restructure as a significant commitment to our ongoing joint business and wish SolutionsPT every success in their new offices.

Bailey added: The primary groupings within SolutionsPT will reinforce our capability to deliver benefits and advantages in all areas of our portfolio, whether Software, Hardware or Enterprise Manufacturing Solutions. The number of effective initiatives made during 2006 has been astounding, with Industrial Ethernet, High Availability Computing, Wireless Technology and Wonderwares System Platform amongst many others. The single entity of SolutionsPT, will mean that the Company can be truly seen as having the most comprehensive and effective scope of delivery within its chosen position in the manufacturing information and control market.

The separate identities ascribed to Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland will allow us to tailor our operations to meet the differing market conditions, business methods and mix of industrial sectors within the two countries, whilst retaining access to significant and sizable support, training and consultancy services.

Bailey admitted that it was with some degree personal sadness that having celebrated its 20 year anniversary, and a uniquely successful WonderWorld User Conference in autumn 2006, that the Pantek Limited name had now to move on. The changes will challenge our people as changes do but the restructuring has been well received internally and we are raring to go with our new identity and in closer coupling with Wonderware. There are significant new issues in our market such as more regulation, leaner and leaner manufacturing, and high expectations of perfect quality and up-time, cost consciousness and whole business integration. With its new structure, SolutionsPT is better positioned with the resources and the skills to be a natural partner to manufacturers in achieving these goals with products and know-how that produce effective and sustainable benefits.
