Datalogic, a leader in the Hand-Held Readers market,* is building on its huge, Europe-wide installed base with the launch of a new family of DragonT hand held laser scanners.
The Dragon Family for industrial applications, has been designed to withstand the toughest environmental conditions without losing its outstanding barcode reading performance and reliability.
The Dragon family is ideal for a range of industries, notably manufacturing, transport and logistics and any environment where high scan volumes are critical and environmental conditions are extreme.
Designed to withstand even the toughest environmental conditions while maintaining its outstanding reading performance and reliability, The Dragon can withstand a two metre drop and can operate to as low as -30. The Dragon also has a rating of IP64, meaning it is totally protected against dust and water.
The Dragon beats all previous read rate records by offering not one but three alerts, using its Patented "Green Spot" - in addition to two 'good read' green LEDs on both the top and bottom of the device to verify a scan, for the first time ever, a further green spot appears on the actual bar code, making it ideal for guaranteed verification in noisy or low-light environments.
Read rates are further boosted by the Dragon's choice of optics, powerful electronics and state of the art decoding software.
Against an industry average of seven, as many as 32 Dragon devices can be connected to the same base, and up to 255 guns in a network of 16 base stations with seamless roaming.
All the Dragon family's components are featured with a built-in multi-interface including RS232, Wedge, Wand and USB all in one and shares the same set of cables with the other Datalogic hand held readers. This assures maximum flexibility and investment protection.
In addition, the battery pack is removable with a dedicated charger.
