SSL WinMan, a leading supplier of .NET ERP Software solutions for manufacturing and distribution companies that support both lean and traditional methodologies, is delivering its WinMan.NET ERP solution to Metallisation, experts in the technology of surface coating.

Dudley based Metallisation has served the thermal spray industry since 1922 and has its origins in the supply of flame sprays equipment for anti-corrosion applications. The companys success has enabled Metallisation to now be able to offer a full range of metal spraying equipment and consumables to a global market. Recognising the role that Manufacturing IT plays in helping companies adapt to increasingly challenging market and business conditions, Metallisation decided to invest in WinMan from SSL WinMan.

As with an increasing number of recent business wins, one of the deciding factors was WinMan's powerful rules-based product configurator. Metallisation will use the product configurator to generate a specific Bill of Material (BOM), Routing and Works Order linked to the Sales Order in a Back to Back format at the Sales Order entry stage. WinMan will also provide automated pricing which will eliminate the need for the engineering department to produce complex and time consuming quotations, thereby reducing costs and increasing timely delivery of accurate prices to the customer.

Implementation began in August 2006 and is scheduled to go live beginning of December 2006.
