Interoperability Standards Set to Reduce Implementation Time and Complexity for Customers

Infor, one of the largest global providers of enterprise software, today announced it will help advance enterprise software application interoperability through its membership and Board of Directors position with Open Applications Group, Inc. (OAGi), a not-for-profit organisation focused on developing independent standards that improve the state of application integration worldwide.

Our membership with OAGi highlights Infors commitment to the development and pursuit of open standards for enterprise applications, said Bruce Gordon, CTO of Infor. Utilising the OAGi standards for communication between our solutions and third party applications reduces implementation time; thereby further lowering Infors industry leading total cost of ownership.

A vast majority of enterprise software is unable to seamlessly communicate with other applications.  A lack of standards complicates implementations, leading to time consuming integration of third party applications and customer involvement, which unnecessarily occupies valuable IT resources.

Infor is a leader in providing software for the enterprise, said David Connelly, CEO of the Open Applications Group. We look forward to their leadership on our Open Applications Group Board of Directors and standards development workgroups.
