Infor ERP Visual promotes efficiency and enables Endoline to embrace lean thinking

Infor, one of the largest global providers of enterprise software, today announced Endoline Machinery, a UK manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machinery, has selected Infor ERP Visual, a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for discrete manufacturers, to provide real-time data for increased visibility into its business operations.

Endoline Machinerys products, which it supplies to companies such as major food producers, enable finished goods to be automatically packed into boxes. It exports its machines around the world despite stiff competition from overseas manufacturers.

The company needed a solution which would provide its board of directors with accurate real time financial and operational information. Up until now, systems were based on bespoke databases and could not present a quick and accurate view of operations across the business.

Visual will provide Endoline Machinery with extended capabilities by providing full integration of information across departments and in particular its stock control and financial systems. Visual also offers planning, purchasing and scheduling functions that will enable the company to gain greater control over its inventory, increasing stock turns and reducing wastage, allowing it to allocate resources more efficiently and give it the ability to track orders and operations.

Alan Yates, Chairman of Endoline Machinery comments: We had an in-house solution which could not support our business. We need to expand, and having a system in place to support our business is crucial. It was obvious that the Visual solution would enable us to move into the next age and provide us with the rich functionality to support our expanding operations.

He continues: It is critical that we have a system in place which will enable us to track all of our operations. If we are to break into new markets, the management team requires visibility of stock levels, orders and financing. The Visual solution will streamline our operations and provide the board with up-to-date information in order to help us achieve this goal.

Trevor Smith, Infors Vice President in the UK and Ireland, comments:
Endoline Machinery selected Infor for our expertise in providing solutions which extend the capabilities of manufacturers. In Visual, Endoline Machinery recognised a superior solution which will support its diversifying business needs. We already have over 3500 customers using our Visual solution around the world. Many of them are like Endoline in that they demand a manufacturingcentric solution, dedicated to the application of lean thinking to promote efficiency across ever expanding global operations.
