Infor ERP System21 Supports Professional Kitchen Service and its Aggressive Growth Plans

Infor, one of the largest global providers of enterprise software, today announced Professional Kitchen Service Limited (PKS), an after-sale service company for Electrolux Professional kitchen appliances, has selected the hosted version of Infor ERP System21 to increase the capabilities of the companys finance functions, streamline invoice processing and make key information available to the companys call centre to improve customer service. 

Professional Kitchen Service is experiencing rapid growth and requires an ERP solution that can scale as the company grows.  Infor ERP System21, part of Infors Manufacturing Essentials suite, enables PKS to support an increased volume of invoices and improve cash flow. 

Infor was able to work with us to develop a hosted solution that will allow us to grow our IT infrastructure economically, said Jill Port, financial director of Professional Kitchen Service.  Infor has proved invaluable in helping our quest to use IT as an integral tool to drive business growth and expansion.  Through using Infor to host the service, we are able to concentrate on our core business and leave the management of the system to the experts.

With ambitious growth plans, PKS IT strategy is constantly evolving to support the needs of the business.  Following careful analysis, it was clear that significant cost savings could be attained through Infor providing a hosted solution.  In addition to the significant operational and competitive advantages Infor ERP System21 brings to PKS, with the hosted solution, operating costs are reduced and Infor will now provide daily and monthly backups, disaster recovery, latest system releases and updates for Infor ERP System21, loading of IBM OS/400 patches and new releases, as well as general daily system support for end users.

This implementation is the first step for PKS.  The next milestone is in six months when PKS is set to install Infor Service Management, a management solution which supports service managers and engineers in the field, allowing them to streamline processes and remove inefficiencies from the finance function.  Following the Infor Service Management implementation, PKS will be able to ensure all financial and distribution data contained in Infor ERP System21 is being managed in a scalable, cost effective way.        

The solution is hosted on the new iSeries Express 520-7142 server and will be located at Infors Manchester support centre.
