The Swedish adventurer Fredrik Strng is currently using the ultra rugged handheld computer Recon on his Guinness World Record attempt. Strng is trying to be the first person in the world to climb the 7 highest peaks on the 7 continents of the world, - in 7 month's.

His choice for PDA was naturally the toughest PDA on the Market - The Recon from Handheld Europe.

Fredrik Strng uses the Recon to update his homepage through email, - even when the weather is freezing cold or the altitude is among the highest in the world. Strng is very happy with the Recon and reports that this rugged handheld works without problems at freezy -30C and also at altitudes as high as 6400 meters. The rigorous MIL-STD 810-F tests have before proven the Recon to perform perfectly at 4572 meters.

Besides being an adventurer, Fredrik is also a freelance photographer who is truly interested in the different environments, cultures, animals and ecological systems of the world. The material from the 7 summits adventure will sum up to be an international documentary that will next year air in Europe and the USA.

Fredrik Strng is currently in Africa to climb Kilimanjaro (5895 meters high) on Friday or Saturday, and then there are only two more summits to go.
