MAP&GUIDE Mapware Conference

Vision and Reality in the Mobile World

The complex topic of getting business moving efficiently is the focus of this year's MAP&GUIDE Mapware Conference (9th 10th November, Dorint Novotel Karlsruhe Kongress, Karlsruhe).

MAP&GUIDE develops and markets software covering the entire spectrum of digital map applications. Its core products include route planners with extended functionality for use in transport and logistics applications, call centres, or in sales forces, as well as navigation systems.

In order to strengthen its collaboration with development partners, provide users with a more intensive exposure to products, and give potential customers an idea of the value added by map&guide technology, the company has designed an international programme of events with workshops and technical lectures to highlight the vision and reality of the mobile business world.

This year, the Mapware Conference will be accompanied by an even bigger partner exhibition offering candidates more opportunities to discover innovative mobile products, applications and solutions to help optimise their business processes.

Covering the fields of transport and logistics, navigation and software development, the two day conference will include two parallel series of lectures and 15 workshops, providing an overall look at the industry as well as in-depth product guides for both experienced and new users of map&guide products.  In addition, live customer presentations will demonstrate the actual benefits and efficiencies achieved by utilising map&guide systems.

The Mapware Conference will also provide a platform for the introduction of two major new map&guide additions to the product portfolio: the innovative, geography-based materials planner program map&guide planner, and map&guide tour assistant for mobile fleet management.    In addition, MAP&GUIDE will present a real milestone an entirely new format that makes map&guide functions available to download via an Internet portal, combining the advantages of both on-line and desktop route planners.

Overall, conference participants can expect a multi-faceted presentation and workshop programme which uses actual business processes to demonstrate the added value of mapping and routing technology in the context of mobility, and which, at the same time, formulates trends, perspectives, and requirements for the future.
