Customers rank Intermec Technologies best in its class for technical expertise, market expertise, customer service and support, according to a global survey of end-users by Venture Development Corp., a leading technology market research and strategy firm.
"These findings are evidence that Intermec is investing in the skills and capabilities that customers value most - and that these investments are paying dividends for the company and its customers," said VDC Mobile and Wireless Practice Director David Krebs. "This is especially true in the technical expertise criterion, where Intermec's rating was 9 percent higher than the average for its peer group."
The VDC survey analysed telephone interview and web survey returns from nearly 1,000 users of rugged mobile computing platforms during the first half of 2006 and in 2005.
This marks the second year in a row that Intermec has distinguished itself in service support among VDC survey respondents.
"It should be noted that this study aggregated customer and non-customer responses, so some of this praise came from companies that may not be operating Intermec systems," Krebs said.
