SAP UK AND IRELAND USER GROUP HOSTS MAJOR CONFERENCE

'The Knowledge Matrix - Adding Value Through Collaboration' set to be the Group's biggest ever event

The SAP UK and Ireland User Group, an independent organisation serving and supporting the SAP user community, has announced the line up for its biggest ever conference, to be held on 20th and 21st November 2006 at the Hilton Metropole at Birmingham's NEC.  The conference will be attended by SAP users from all industry sectors, who can hear about current issues and best practice methods, attend workshops and presentations, and learn from, and share in, others' experiences.

Delivering the keynote address will be David Barnes, COO of SAP UK & Ireland.  Drawing on years of experience gained in Australia, the US and Europe across a diverse range of industries, such as telecommunications, distribution, corporate travel and recruitment, Barnes is expected to motivate and inspire delegates as he shares his views on the future of SAP.

More than 50 speakers feature in the confirmed line up, each an acknowledged expert in their field.  Among these is Jim Lawless, one of the most inspiring and sought after speakers and coaches in Europe.  Having developed a unique model for personal and business success, Lawless' presentations and coaching sessions are renowned.  Having helped top performers and industry leaders around the world to achieve greater success, an inspiring and motivational session now awaits SAP users.

Other speakers will include James Woudhuysen, professor of forecasting and innovation at De Montfort University, who regularly contributes to The Times, IT Week, and Radio 4's You and Yours.  With broad experience in the IT industry - Woudhuysen has worked with such industry giants as BT, IBM, Microsoft, and Philips - his presentation will no doubt shed some light on the challenges facing IT professionals.

Glynn Lowth, Chairman of the SAP User Group UK & Ireland, is thoroughly looking forward to the event:  "This conference, set to be our biggest yet, will offer a fantastic opportunity for SAP users from across the country to come together, to share experiences, and learn more about the future direction of SAP and its products.  I look forward to welcoming all delegates to the conference."
