La Bovida, the leader in general supplies distribution for professionals in the French food industry, plans to implement IBS Enterprise 6.0 for its new ERP system.
IBS, international leader in Supply Chain Management software, announces a new agreement with La Bovida, Frances leading provider of supplies for professionals in the food sector. La Bovida has chosen the IBS Enterprise 6.0 ERP system, covering sales and marketing support, purchasing, inventory control, sales area, warehousing, manufacturing, accounting, e-business and after-sales service management. La Bovida will also implement a specialized IBS Customer Relationships Management module, IBS Business Intelligence for performance management, and IBS Integrator for systems, application, data and process integration.
La Bovida, with headquarters in Bourges in central France, has specialized since 1921 in equipment trade for food professionals. The company also has an active operations within the trituration (grinding and blending) of spices and aromatics. La Bovida employs 330 people (70 sales people) and has 18 sales points in France.
La Bovida had used an outdated sales management system and standalone warehouse management tool. The company decided to implement a new ERP in order to avoid the data gaps between various systems. After studying different solutions, La Bovida was attracted by the large range of IBS Enterprise functionalities and the IBS teams capacity to answer to all its users needs.
At the end of February 2006, La Bovida confirmed its choice in implementing IBS Enterprise 6.0 software for sales management, warehouse management and finance. They also chose the EAI solution, IBS Integrator, and the IBS CRM and IBS Business Intelligence modules.
By January 2007, 200 La Bovida users will be working on IBS Enterprise 6.0, with another 70 on the IBS CRM module, counting mobile applications. A further 20 users will work with the IBS Business Intelligence solution that will provide KPIs and other supply chain data.
IBS Enterprise 6.0 covers the entire business of La Bovida, from inventory management to sales management.
With the IBS Alert Management module, people are informed about action that needs to be performed in case of unexpected events as for instance an important order requiring a validation, an out-of-stocks situation or a customer overdue payment.
