Capgemini launches innovative Sourcing solution powered by mySAP SRM

What does the solution do?

The solution is a uniquely integrated blend of proven sourcing methodology, tools and templates and a world-class eSourcing application. Designed and developed by real buyers, the solution is able to offer practical tools that buyers and CPOs look for in developing robust commodity strategies and promoting fact-based decisions.

By integrating Capgeminis best practice sourcing methodology, tools and templates with mySAP SRMs project management, collaboration, spend analysis and eTendering functionality, the solution addresses your complete eSourcing requirements. With a wide range of sourcing templates and tools (such as Portfolio Positioning, SWOT analysis and Porters 5 Forces), the solution provides a best practice process driven approach to sourcing that will drive consistency and standardisation across the organisation.

Routes to implementation

Capgemini and SAP have developed two stages of solution implementation. The first stage, the Pilot, will allow you to test drive the solution over a 12 week period. During this time, the full suite of tools and templates will be used to deliver a robust sourcing project for you across 2 to 3 commodities. This pilot will be supported by commodity packs, with detailed market analysis and data, benchmarks and opportunity assessments.

The second stage, the Rollout, will allow you to deploy the solution behind your firewall within your own mySAP SRM application. Capgeminis sourcing methodology, tools and templates will be built into that SRM application, such that you can operationalise best practice sourcing within your organisation. The benefits of this stage extend beyond eSourcing. You will be able to leverage your mySAP SRM application to close the loop between eSourcing and eProcurement. You will also have the potential to benefit from integration into your backend financial and human resources systems.
