AMR Research the No. 1 advisory firm focused on supply chain, enterprise applications, and infrastructure, has recently published Insights into Supply Chain Innovation in Europe, a study into best practice in supply chain, which had the following to say about TRAXi3 from Precision software:
As production moves offshore, one area of spend typically increases: small parcel express delivery. Emerson met this challenge by allowing the consolidation of transatlantic small parcels in the United States and disaggregation upon arrival in Europe, thus giving large savings with relatively small time penalties. It had approached its 3PL to provide this service, but was advised that it could not be done. Undeterred, it found an application provider that was able to deploy a small parcel management system alongside its global trade management application, which manages the aggregation, sorting and billing.
The payback: Euro 7.38m over a two and a half year period, calculated against what would otherwise have been spent.
Precision Software provided both the global trade management and small parcel consolidation/deconsolidation application
