IBS announces global roll out of Bookmaster publishing ERP software

As part of the global roll out of its Bookmaster Publishing ERP System, IBS, the international software developer, has announced the appointment of Staffan Wensing as Group Manager of the IBS Publishing Division.

In addition, the company has announced the formation of Regional Centres of Excellence, based in the UK, the US and Singapore, to enable advanced product and marketing development and a comprehensive customer support infrastructure.

Staffan Wensing, Area Manager of Asia and Australia for IBS, has also been appointed as Group Manager of the IBS Publishing Division and takes overall responsibility for global marketing, development and support of the IBS Bookmaster product. In addition, IBS has created Regional Centres of Excellence to support the companys increasing customer base, which already includes some of the worlds leading publishing companies, including Penguin, McGraw-Hill and Harper Collins. These competency centres, based in the US, Singapore and at IBSs UK offices in Borehamwood, confirms IBSs commitment to the market and the investment it is making into ensuring Bookmaster remains the leading ERP solution for the global publishing industry.

IBS has opened its European Centre of Excellence at its Borehamwood office in order to be close to the main publishing markets in London. To promote growth in Europe and to drive sales in the UK, IBS has appointed Mike Irving, formerly International Sales Manager of IBS Australia, as General Manager Sales, Europe, for IBS Bookmaster. A specialist team, also based in Borehamwood, will support current and future Bookmaster customers in the UK and Europe. Additional Bookmaster support centres are also being created in Iberia, France, Finland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Holland, Denmark and Sweden. These additional centres will ensure IBS delivers the most comprehensive product delivery and support capability to the European publishing market.

We see the publishing sector as an important market for long term growth and development. IBS is investing heavily in Bookmaster and has already won a number of major new contracts worldwide, said Mr Wensing. We are very committed to the UK market and this is demonstrated by our decision to base the European Centre of Excellence at our UK offices. We have already opened discussions with a number of large publishers throughout Europe and the UK and are looking forward to more exciting developments within this sector.

Mr Jim Wilde, Managing Director of IBS Bookmaster UK, added, Mikes extensive Bookmaster experience will ensure that we maximise our opportunities of winning new customers in the UK. The UK-based centre of excellence will allow us to offer better support to our existing customers as well as to provide implementation and support services for new customers throughout Europe.
