RedPrairie Corporation and MARC Global Holdings, Inc. have jointly announced today that they have signed a definitive agreement, whereby RedPrairie will acquire MARC Global Holdings, Inc. The combined companies, operating under the name RedPrairie Corporation, will unify and support all products and services from both organizations, offering its expanded customer base, access to more abundant and rich solution capabilities, deeper functionality across key verticals and wider geographic support. Former MARC Chief Executive Officer Oliver Cooper will continue to serve in a leadership position within the combined organization, under the direction of RedPrairie Company Leader John Jazwiec.

Says Jazwiec, This alliance unites two forward-thinking companies that have led the supply chain industry by focusing on customer results. We have made the decision to join together, and will continue to drive our business, based on the best interests and business needs of the world-leading companies that make up our global customer base. Both companies offer similar technology with sophisticated integration capabilities and leverage the same technology platforms, allowing us to provide customers an enhanced, broader suite of solutions and seamless technology upgrades. Equally important, both organizations share a customer-focused culture, a dedication to excellence, and product solution innovation.

Cooper says, John and I have taken every measure to ensure a seamless transition for all of our customers. We are very excited by the synergies between our companies, and we are dedicated to helping our customers realize the substantial benefits this change will bring to their businesses. I greatly look forward to maintaining my leadership role and to continue fostering the valued, long-term customer and partner relationships we have developed through the years.

Jazwiec continues, In addition to broader technology offerings, one of the greatest benefits this partnership provides customers is the extensive, collective experience of our people who will join forces to offer even greater levels of expertise and support.

He adds, The integration of RedPrairie and MARC will begin in early February. Our combined customer-focused culture creates an environment of dedicated service, strong work ethic and loyalty that sets it apart in the software applications market. We greatly value the talented people from both MARC and RedPrairie, and we will continue to do all we can to help them continue to thrive in an environment of teamwork and success.
