Following the successful acquisition of TouchStar Technologies in October 2005, on Friday 13th January 2006 Belgravium Technologies Plc acquired the entire share capital of Novo Ivc Ltd from WM-data Oy of Finland.

A Co-operation Agreement was signed between WM-data and Belgravium which reinforces the close relationship for the sales and delivery of mobile P.O.S. and Pro Logistica back office systems to Novo Ivc's customers, whilst helping to develop business opportunities in new market areas.

Novo Ivc mobile sales and stock control systems are used on more than 2000 daily journeys by over 50,000 attendants, handling sales in excess of 230 million. Over a decade of world market leadership has already been achieved by providing optimum retail control for Airlines and Railways and their catering and service providers including KLM, Jet 2, Qantas, Alpha, Lufthansa, GNER and Gate Gourmet, amongst others.

Novo Ivc do not just deliver the best hardware and software in existence for over forty of the worlds major travel operators but offers unrivalled levels of experience, expertise and flexibility which are vital in making retail systems work globally. Innovation is also crucial in ensuring that Novos airline and rail partners are equipped with the most cutting edge and complete solutions available. Novo Ivc customers were the first to use computers for on-board retail, the first to use computers for on-board pre-order and the first to utilise infra-red communication technology on-board. Novos hardware solutions are based upon TouchStar Technologys TouchPC range of terminals.

Bernard Swindells, Managing Director of Novo Ivc, will continue his involvement with the company and explains the reasoning behind the sale, as follows ; We believe we already offer the Worlds most advanced, rugged, hand held, touch screen P.O.S. system. With fully integrated peripherals, extensive battery life and high speed processor, the TouchPC mobile computer range combines seamlessly with Novos SkyPos and TrackPos software systems and has already revolutionised on-board retail. The acquisition will enable our software engineers to work even more closely with the TouchStar development team. The net result will be a constant stream of innovative solutions for our existing and future customers.

Commenting on the acquisition, Belgravium's Chairman John Kembery said: "We are particularly pleased to welcome Novo Ivc to the group.  This acquisition further increases the scope of our data capture systems, and we look forward to a long association with WM-data.  Following on from the successful acquisition of TouchStar, the completion of the purchase of Novo Ivc will support our expansion and growth into new vertical markets and industries".
