iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. recently announced that Network Rail, the operator of Britains rail infrastructure, has selected iAnywhere's Afaria software to manage an initial 1,300 Windows mobile devices used by on-site engineering staff as they work to rebuild Britains railway. This mobility programme is currently being rolled out and is scheduled to be completed by 2009.
