Multi-Channel Retailer sit-up Limited Selects Advanced Planning Solution from Manhattan Associates

Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, announced that multi-channel retailer sit-up Limited has selected its Advanced Planning solution to help drive the companys year-on-year growth. sit-up will deploy the Financial Planning and Item Planning elements of Manhattan Associates solution across its multi-channel retail network, enabling it to automate planning processes, react swiftly to consumer trends and predict which items will sell and from which channel. This will help sit-up forecast consumer buying habits across all of its retail channels, while maintaining a view of the organisations performance as a whole.

Formed by leading executives from the broadcast and retail industries, sit-up was the UKs fastest growing TV retailer in 2004 and has developed a portfolio of screen commerce channels that currently consists of bid tv, price-drop tv, speed auction tv and Screenshop, which are available via digital satellite, cable and, in the case of bid tv and price-drop tv, digital terrestrial television and the Internet. Manhattan Associates solution will enhance sit-ups data management capabilities by combining financial planning with detailed item level planning, helping to promote company growth by providing good service levels and effective management of inventory. The first phase of the implementation is due for completion by April 2006.

We chose Manhattan Associates Advanced Planning solution because it will enable us to integrate and automate our planning processes across each of our outlets--via the television and the Internet. The solution will also allow us to monitor and react to consumer buying patterns by different channels, ensuring that we always have the right stock in the right place and at the right time to satisfy the customers needs.
