Notice of Ofcom's proposal to exempt the use of radio frequency identification equipment in the 865-868 MHz band from Wireless Telegraphy licensing
"A license exempt conclusion is a great step forward for the use of RFID in the UK. It is likely that any license application process would have deterred an organisation looking to pilot RFID in its business. By eliminating the need for a license we are pulling down a perceived barrier and discouraging a 'wait and see approach' - now is the time to get involved," said David Lyon (pictured left), Business Manager, EPCglobal.
