CINCOM ENABLES SUPPLY CHAIN VISION FOR PANalytical

Cincom is delighted to announce it has been awarded a contract by PANalytical BV for the supply of the Cincom Socrates Sales Configurator application and related services.

PANalytical, the worlds leading supplier of analytical instrumentation and software for X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), employs around 800 people and has a sales and service network covering more than 60 countries. Every system is highly complex and each one is configured to the customers individual requirements.

Andre Balogh de Galantha, Business Improvement Manager at PANalytical comments: The business driver for the project is PANalyticals global waste free supply chain initiative. The Cincom solution will support key objectives for growth, including a reduction in the time required to produce quotations, leading to improved sales efficiency and elimination of pricing errors, resulting in reduced commercial risk. Our aim is to have zero tolerance for technical errors enabling cost savings due to reducing checking processes and re-work.

The solution will have a world-wide roll out, with multi-language, multi-currency support and global coverage. The Quote Maker Configurator solution from Cincom will support sales engineers globally by providing quotation generation, product configuration, rules based pricing, technical validation and management reporting and analysis. The solution will seamlessly integrate with both their SalesLogix CRM and MFG/PRO ERP systems. Connected and disconnected operation for the mobile sales force was an important criteria for the solution.

Cincom faced intense competition from two Dutch companies, however, PANalytical was particularly impressed with the responsiveness of all the Cincom team and the maturity of both Cincom as an organisation and the application which provides them with a high value, low risk solution.
