Masternaut is set to bring innovative real time resource scheduling technology to the UK service industry after announcing EURO 15 million (GBP 10 million) deal with French partner Delia Systems. Using the underlying scheduling software, Masternaut has developed a new system that is expected to revolutionise the management of field service personnel by linking live tracking to real time scheduling.

Providing the usual Masternaut benefits of ease of use, fast implementation and affordability, the M-OptiTime solution will link real scheduling with live tracking and is suitable for small, medium and large organisations.

Delia has long been a leading supplier of dynamic scheduling software in France. International clients using the technology include Air France, US Air Force, Airbus and Carrefour. The technology is a major boost to Masternaut as a single source supplier of tracking, mobile office applications and real time scheduling solutions in the UK.

Masternaut has the exclusive rights to distribute to the new technology within the service sector where businesses increasingly require dynamic scheduling to deliver efficient and responsive services. The new solution can deal with very complex requirements amongst small, mid and large sized field service operations in the domestic and business to business market.

"Our strategy is to provide our customers with a complete real time scheduling and tracking solution. We have nearly 1000 UK clients and 25,000 vehicles are equipped with Masternaut across Europe. Integrating this technology as part of our solution will enable us to dynamically schedule, track engineer departures, and arrivals and validate job status in real time without the need for engineer intervention. We anticipate increasing engineer field efficiency by over 25% at the same time as boosting customer service" says Martin Port, Managing Director of Masternaut.

"The combination of geographic management, real time planning, and real time mobile connectivity opens a new frontier for improvement of field productivity and service quality. Together we have pioneering technology that can be combined to give us a genuine lead in Europe for real time workforce optimisation, wireless applications and tracking." says Yvon Corcia, President of Delia Systems.
