BCP are proud to have been involved in Jake Meyers recent assault on Everest which made him, at just 21 years old, the youngest Brit to summit Mount Everest and the youngest man in the world to complete all the Seven Summits to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.

Having climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa at the turn of the century - aged just 15 - Jake has, over the last few years, successfully climbed 5 of the other peaks, leaving just Everest the highest of the seven - to complete the set.

Successfully bidding to sponsor Jake to carry our logo-bearing banner to the top of Everest, BCP followed his progress with interest, waiting with bated breath as he dealt with a range of setbacks, including altitude sickness and severe weather conditions which forced him back down the mountain and postponed the final assault until the last possible window before the onset of the monsoon season. Having commenced his attempt early in April, Jake eventually reached the 8,850m summit at 6am on 4th June 2005 to fulfil his lifelong dream and set a new record.

BCP extend their warmest congratulations to Jake and wish him every success in both publishing a book on his adventures and raising money for his nominated charity, The Childrens Wish Foundation.
