SEEBURGER APPOINTED PREFERRED EDI PARTNER FOR IFS

SEEBURGER, a global solution provider for cross-enterprise business process integration, has announced that it has been appointed as the preferred global EDI supplier to customers of IFS, one of the world's leading providers of component-based business software developed using open standards. This is the first such relationship forged by IFS, which demonstrates SEEBURGER's commitment and capabilities to deliver complementary EDI solutions that fully exploit the potential business benefits and return on investment that customers can gain from market-leading business software systems.

Rakesh Harji, SEEBURGER's UK Managing Director, comments, "The appointment of SEEBURGER as IFS' preferred EDI supplier follows successful joint projects with major international customers, including Linamar in Canada and Caillau in France. We are delighted to be working with this important company that has particular strengths in similar vertical markets to SEEBURGER, including automotive. We see this as a long term partnership that will be mutually beneficial to both companies and their customers."

Julan Bacon, IFS' Global Head of Automotive, comments, "Quite simply, SEEBURGER has the best EDI offering in the market, not just for the automotive industry where both companies are particularly strong, but also in other vertical markets. IFS' business is built on delivering world-class business applications, based on open-standards and designed for easily managed step by step implementation that allow customers the visibility and control to maximise efficiency and profitability within their businesses. SEEBURGER's EDI application fits perfectly into our solution offering and we see it as the market leader for the global automotive industry."

He continues, "Our customers see EDI as a key enabler of their business, and the only method of communicating with their customers and suppliers. SEEBURGER has proven its capability to deliver benefits to thousands of customers of its own and we are confident that IFS customers around the world will see this partnership as an excellent opportunity to drive efficiencies and increased profitability into key areas of their businesses"

Rakesh Harji concludes, "IFS has not previously had a preferred EDI supplier and this appointment is testimony to the quality of our product, our worldwide support capability and our ability to work closely with the company to deliver complete, optimised solutions."
