Exel, the global leader in supply chain management, has won a five-year contract extension with Bosal UK. Exel will continue to act for Bosal distributing automotive parts across the UK. A new fleet of 16 special design dedicated vehicles will be introduced in 2005.

Bosal, one of the world's leading manufacturers of vehicle exhaust systems for both vehicle manufacturers and the replacement market, has made Exel its supplier of choice since 1992. 25 staff are employed by Exel dedicated to the Bosal contract and the operation has been accredited with both ISO9001 and Investors in People status. The employees operate from various sites across the UK.

Mike Cornwell, Logistics Director for Bosal (UK) Ltd, commented, "Getting our delivery service right is critical to our business. By focusing on our relationship with Exel, they have evolved from a traditional supplier of transport services to an integral part of our operation and make a significant contribution to our business success. I am very pleased that by extending the contract we are able to continue this work so that Bosal continues to improve its service to its customers and supports their business success."

Simon Hobbs, Automotive Director, UK, for Exel's Automotive sector, added, "This contract extension cements the relationship between Bosal and Exel that has been built over a number of years. Exel has demonstrated it is committed to ensuring it adds value to its customers' supply chain and is proud to continue to be the partner of choice for Bosal in the UK."
