Infor Acquires Formation Systems

Infor, the largest global software provider that exclusively focuses on the manufacturing and distribution markets, announced today that it has acquired Formation Systems, a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for process manufacturing companies. The acquisition of Formation Systems further strengthens Infors broad product portfolio for Process Manufacturers.

Formation Systems will join the Infor process manufacturing group, which is led by Bruce Gordon, senior vice president and general manager, and will continue to operate in Southborough, Mass. Both Infor and Formation Systems are privately held companies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
