G-Log, the leading provider of global logistics and transportation software, announced today that ARC Advisory Group has named G-Log as the leading supplier of transportation management software (TMS) to the logistics service provider (LSP) industry, in its April report - "Strategic Guide for Logistics Service Providers." Armstrong and Associates came to a similar conclusion in its March research report.
According to the ARC Advisory Group's report, G-Log's key strengths are transportation management and supply chain event management. Named as the leading supplier of TMS to the LSP industry, G-Log also offers inventory management and automotive-specific capabilities. In February 2005, G-Log added transportation procurement functionality to its suite. G-Log has been able to achieve this status by serving more than 40 clients, who collectively account for over $6.7 billion in freight spend.
The Armstrong and Associates report titled; "Trends in Third-Party Logistics Provider Supply Chain Systems Purchasing, Deployment and Use", ranked G-Log first among technology providers, when third-party logistics providers consider which supply chain systems to adopt. This market research report and the ARC Advisory Group's research validates G-Log's market leadership. A growing number of LSPs are using the G-Log Global Command and Control CenterT (GC3T) software platform, as standard, to power their logistics operations around the globe. G-Log's LSP customer list includes global giants Exel, Kuehne & Nagel, and Toll Group.
In addition, G-Log announced that today it has been honoured by three industry publications;
Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine named G-Log a Top 100 company
Start magazine saluted G-Log as a "Company to Keep an Eye On"
Inbound Logistics cited G-Log as a Top 100 Logistics IT Provider for 2005
"We are honoured to garner such industry recognition. It provides yet more proof to support our market leadership and commitment to helping the world's largest logistics service providers and shippers leverage logistics for competitive advantage," said David Cairns, chief executive officer for G-Log. "Our global customers turn to us to help solve complex supply chain problems to improve their business. These awards further demonstrate the value we are delivering to the market, as they are all based on customer ROI realised through the application of our GC3 system."
