Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the midmarket, today announced that Responsive Designs Ltd., a major importer and distributor of floor coverings, furniture and home furnishings to many of the leading retailers in the United Kingdom (UK), has chosen Epicor for Distribution to manage and streamline its financial operations and automate warehouse management and inventory controls to improve productivity and cut costs.

Formed in 1989 initially as an importer of machine made rugs, Responsive Designs has grown to become a major distributor and one of the largest importers of laminate and solid wood floors, European machine made rugs, Indian and Chinese hand tufted rugs, and cotton and jute rugs in the UK. Warehousing and distribution is a key element of Responsive Designs service to its customers. The company offers a five working day delivery on all standard ranges, with either pallet or mixed pallet services, direct home delivery including furniture assembly and special order services.

Responsive Designs chose Epicor for Distribution because it provides powerful end to end capabilities covering general ledger, accounts payable and budgeting for financials management and distribution and warehousing for supply chain management operations. In addition, Responsive Designs will utilize Epicor Business Intelligence to leverage the data in the Epicor system for forecasting, to reveal competitive information and improve efficiency across the organization. Responsive Designs were particularly interested in the superior purchasing capabilities of Epicor, not found in other systems they assessed.
