FELLOWES GOES LIVE WITH SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTION

Fellowes has now gone live with an integrated pallet tracking solution powered by Agility Systems iLink middleware solution.

Darlington-based Agility, which introduced its popular iLink solution to the market in 2003, has provided a supply chain solution that will help Fellowes track, manage and distribute its office products.

The solution is the product of 18 months work between the two companies. The first phase was rolled out in January 2004 and, after a series of further implementations, the solution has now reached full functionality.

iLink will provide Fellowes with efficient picking processes and accurate identification and location of stock. The solutions pallet tracking systems will monitor the movement of a pallet through the entire distribution chain, from product picking to confirmation of despatch.

Fellowes manufactures, distributes and markets consumer electronic accessories and office products. Headquartered in Chicago, the family-owned firm employs over 1,200 people in offices around the world.

Agility Systems specialises in ERP systems integration and has extensive knowledge of warehouse efficiency, logistics and information management. Established in 1995, the firm implements these solutions to a wide range of clients all over the world. It also supplies warehouse optimisation solutions, efficiency monitoring and full transaction controls. Agility also specialises in supply chain execution over multiple ERP systems including GEAC, JD Edwards and BPCS.
