Multi-site wired and wireless voice and data connectivity

REACT Technologies will be demonstrating their 4G Solution Integration scenarios on Stand N32 at Retail Solutions 2005, NEC Birmingham on 7th, 8th and 9th June. The on-stand network will show how voice, data and video traffic is simply and securely conveyed over wireless and wired multi-site infrastructure utilizing proven best-of-breed networking technology.

REACT Technologies utilize the Aruba Wireless Platform integrated with a Zultys IP Media Exchange solution to provide the backbone infrastructure. One scenario is where Zultys IP Handsets, acting as a VPN and Firewall end point, can then be connected to Aruba wireless access points, through which 802.11 laptops, bar code scanners and Hitachi Wi-Fi handsets connect to and then into the network infrastructure.

This scenario enables regional retail, factory, office or home worker environments seamless connectivity into their corporate network, with the functionality of being visible at all times regardless of location where management and control are completely centralised," said Jess Thompson-Hughes, REACT's managing director. Furthermore, this one-network solution for voice and data traffic keeps IT management costs and financial spend on telephone call costs to an absolute minimum.
