Wipro partners Akzo Nobel in IT infrastructure management across multiple locations in US and Europe

Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) today announced that it has signed a three year, multi-million Euro agreement with Akzo Nobel NV (NASDAQ: AKZOY, Amsterdam: 0AKZO.AS), an international company active in the areas of pharmaceuticals, coatings and chemicals.

Wipro Technologies will help Akzo Nobel Chemicals implement their idea of creating a shared IT environment by providing infrastructure management services for distributed data centers across multiple locations in the US and Europe with the objective of the operational management with one supplier and by optimizing the number of data centers throughout Akzo Nobel. The company will also use its global delivery platform and stringent quality procedures to maintain and enhance a wide range of applications like SAP.
