"The LS3400 family of scanners is designed for customers that need to capture data quickly and efficiently in an industrial environment without being tethered by a cable to a host system," said Bob Sanders, vice president and general manager of Symbol's advanced data capture division. "Symbol is meeting the enterprise mobility needs of its customers with advanced data capture technology that increases worker productivity and reduces the total-cost-of-ownership with less downtime."
The LS3478-FZ scanner features fuzzy logic technology to increase productivity by providing accurate and fast reading of damaged, dirty and poorly printed bar codes typically found in industrial environments. The LS3478-ER scanner offers versatility reading bar codes as close as 100mm and as far as 14 metres away.
The new LS3478-ER and LS3478-FZ rugged cordless scanners are based on Bluetooth technology, sealed to IP65 specifications against water and dust and have the ability to withstand multiple 2 metre drops to concrete, making them well suited for various industrial applications including shop floor data capture, inventory management, asset tracking and fork lift applications.
Symbol's Global Services Division offers services designed to increase uptime and meet the support requirements of mobile products in the enterprise. Services developed to meet the specific needs of the LS3400 family in an enterprise setting include Service Center Bronze for support, timely repair, and maintenance and Service Center Gold for an even quicker and efficient next-day replacement option.
