Sandpiper Corporation is pleased to announce that it has won a key contract in conjunction with software partner Mandata to supply Forest Freight Global Logistics with a new mobile computing solution.
Global third party logistics company Forest Freight is to provide distribution management services on behalf of premier manufacturer of extrusion window and door systems Permacell Finesse Ltd (PFL). Key services of the contract will include Forest Freight managing the distribution and tracking of customer inventory and asset management of PFLs bespoke safe-transport stillages across 300 UK wide destinations. Intermec 760 hand held mobile computers fitted with WWAN GPRS data communications, Barcode scanners and GPS tracking receivers in conjunction with Mandatas adapted ManPack3 application will facilitate real-time visibility of inventory and valuable assets - key components required for this prestigious contract.
The solution provided by Sandpiper and Mandata will facilitate real-time asset management and improved product traceability across the supply chain for both Forest Freight and our customer PFL stated Sean Kirby, Forest Freights Managing Director.
