Prestigious Awards For UPS Company Simplifies The Supplier Approval Process and Reduces Assessment Costs

Riello Galatrek a leading supplier of uninterruptible power supplies has recently been awarded two major occupational health and safety certifications - OHSAS 18001 and SAFEContractor. The awards were a major achievement for a company which has experienced a thirty percent growth in turnover since 2003.

Riello Galatrek was awared the OHSAS 18001 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety management system after an extensive on-site audit by the NQA. The OHSAS 18001 accreditation demonstrates that the company has a formal system for the managment of the health and safety of its employees and site visitors. This is a requirement for all UK companies under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The SAFEContractor scheme is a further third party assessment body for health and safety management. Successful review leads to an organisation being placed on their database which can be viewed on line at www.safecontractor.co.uk. The database is used as an approved supplier list by many leading public and private sector organisations to ensure that only companies with audited health and safety systems are used.

Both certifications help Riello Galatrek clients to meet their statutory obligations and simplify their assessment procedures. On request Riello Galatrek can provide documentary evidence of its certifications and a range of procedures, method statements and risk assessments covering services from UPS installation to battery testing and maintenance.

Leo Craig Sales Manager for Riello Galatrek Ltd commented:

The awards mean that our clients can reduce the amount of time they have to invest in assessing us before approval. They make it far easier to select Riello Galatrek over competitors especially for complex electrical projects.
