AGILITY STRIKES US ROLL-OUT DEAL WITH B/E AEROSPACE

Agility Systems has won a contract to help B/E Aerospace roll out its Enterprise Solution across seven sites in the US and Europe.

The solution, which has been designed for the JD Edwards World ERP system, had been trialled successfully at B/E Aerospaces two UK sites at Leighton Buzzard near Luton and Kilkeel in Northern Ireland. Agilitys expertise was then called upon to develop the solution at B/E Aerospaces site at Winston Salem in North Carolina.

Now the re-developed solution will be used at the US sites, Dutch site, and the Leighton Buzzard and Ireland operations.

The Enterprise Solution will enable B/E Aerospace to perform the full range of inventory, purchasing, and manufacturing transactions using radio frequency hand-held terminals. It greatly extends the standard JDE transactions to allow complex updates from a simple bar-code scan.

Agility Systems specialises in ERP systems integration and has extensive knowledge of warehouse efficiency, logistics and information management. Established in 1995, the firm implements these solutions to a wide range of clients all over the world. It also supplies warehouse optimisation solutions, efficiency monitoring and full transaction controls.

B E Aerospace is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of cabin interior products for commercial aircraft and business jets, and an aftermarket distributor of aerospace fasteners. The company also provides aircraft cabin interior design, reconfiguration and passenger-to-freighter conversion services.

Staff from B E Aerospace visited Agility in January to learn more about the integration of ERP systems. As part of the deal, Agility staff will oversee the roll-out in the US and will be on hand to offer expert advice and guidance.

We are going to further increase that value by rolling out the current functionality to other locations in the US and Europe. B/E plans to develop additional functionality in the near future to further increase efficiencies."
