Rockwell Collins Taps MCA Solutions

Rockwell Collins, Inc. (NYSE: COL), the world-class provider of aviation electronic and communication solutions for government and commercial customers, has selected MCA Solutions to fully optimize its global service parts network. A comprehensive evaluation determined that MCA Solutions' Service Planning & Optimization (SPO) software suite is the right solution for handling Rockwell Collins' requirements for multi-echelon, multi-indenture availability-based planning and rapid evaluation of service scenarios.

This win builds on MCA Solutions' existing customer base, which includes The Boeing Company and Lockheed Martin, further cementing the company's foothold in the commercial and government markets for a range of support agreements, including performance-based logistics (PBL) contracts.

"There's an immense need, especially in aerospace and defense, for reliable products that guarantee uninterrupted performance," said Bob Salvucci, president and CEO of MCA Solutions. "Our solution helps companies like Rockwell Collins achieve the highest level of customer service, while quickly reducing inventory, maximizing availability and driving new service revenue."

As the market increasingly demands 'total service solutions', and Rockwell Collins' service offering grows more complex, the company realized it needed a robust solution that could optimize inventory across more than 60 service centers, which support governments, aircraft manufacturers and 400 airlines across the globe. MCA Solutions' recent SAP certification will ensure rapid integration with Rockwell Collins' existing SAP transaction system.

MCA Solutions' SPO suite is the only commercial, off-the-shelf solution that quickly determines the best way to service customers, even when there are various supply networks, service level agreements (2-hour, 4-hour, same day), variations in costs and lead times, and different supply sources. Large, global companies with tens of thousands of customers and products can save millions of dollars yearly by optimizing the service supply chain.
