DONT BE LATE NOMINATE

The search is on to find the leading lights within the logistics and transport sector and the chance to win the coveted Information Management Award - as The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK calls for entries to its prestigious Annual Awards for Excellence 2005.

Seen as the benchmark for professional excellence within one of the most important sectors of the economy, organisations have until 31st May 2005 to enter the O2 sponsored Award and any of the other ten categories (see below).

The Awards encompass many specialist disciplines and activities across the full breadth of the profession and are designed to ensure all high achievers have the opportunity to be recognised for their competence whether an organisation, specific teams or individual employees, chosen suppliers or collaborators.

Billed as the highlight of the logistics and transport calendar, over 400 guests are expected to attend the gala awards dinner being held on 20th October 2005 at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London.

Commenting on the Awards, CILT(UK) chief executive, Geoff Newton said: Finalists will have demonstrated the significant achievements they have made in their field of expertise and, after working relentlessly throughout the year, it is a chance for individuals and companies to be rewarded for their efforts and be recognised for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the sector.

We are expecting more companies and individuals than ever looking to celebrate their work with their peers. It is also reassuring to see that, even when the sector appears to be facing a skills shortage, so many organisations are optimising the skills and expertise of their employees to develop novel solutions that benefit their businesses, their customers and their particular industry.
