Reqio today announces the launch of Reqio Mobile, a release of its software suite which enables structured product information to be accessed through Microsoft Windows Mobile powered devices. Organisations increasingly need information on the move, providing immediate access to crucial data which will make their jobs easier and more effective. Reqio Mobile delivers exactly this and broadens the availability of up-to-date, reliable product information to beyond the traditional enterprise network.

Developed as an extension on Reqios proven Product Information Management (PIM) technology, which is implemented in some of the most complex supply chains in Europe, Reqio Mobile enables a new breed of wireless information. Now, service engineers can immediately find the exact part required for a repair; replacement stock can be ordered the minute an item has been used and Head Office can maintain an up to the minute inventory of parts held by remote workers.

Reqio Mobile was initially developed to address the needs of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) organisations with field repair staff to address the following problems:

Up to 30% of all replacement parts are incorrectly ordered;

On average 10% of service visits do not rectify equipment breaks;

68% of customers cease to trade with a supplier because of the way they are treated (Source AFSMI);

Engineers typically need to carry around numerous ring binders holding parts diagrams etc. which are not up to date and do not manage superseded parts;
