Exel, the global leader in supply chain management, has announced the appointment of Jrgen Bellwinkel as Director of contract logistics for Exel's technology sector in Germany from January 2005. He will be based at the Exel's site in Hnxe.
Jrgen Bellwinkel, 39, has extensive knowledge and experience in logistics and IT. After receiving an engineering degree at Dortmund University he worked as academic associate at the Fraunhofer Institut fr Materialfluss und Logistik and the Gesellschaft fr Prozessautomatisierung mbH (GPA) in Dortmund. He also worked as project engineer for Logistik-Management-Beratung GmbH (LOGMA) in Dortmund.
He then applied his know-how in planning and implementing logistics projects and IT systems at Nokia Networks GmbH in Dusseldorf, where he worked in a variety of roles. The last of these positions was as a Distribution Centre Manager for spare parts management in Central Europe.
Jrgen Bellwinkel started his Exel career in 2000 when he looked after the Nokia Mobile Phone account. Until he took on his new role in Hnxe he played an instrumental role as Global Programme Manager in the implementation of the Service Logistics Concept for Nokia Networks in 14 APAC countries and 26 EMEA countries.
